Top Ten Tips on How to Live Amidst Meaningful Coincidence (AMCTM)

Idea of the Week
November 8, 2001

Many of us have experienced-- even if fleetingly-- a time when our life is woven in synchronicity. We think of someone and they call, the perfect item literally falls off the shelf at our feet, and more. These are the times when our intention meets our concrete reality in a very easy way. It is also a state of being that carries with it great responsibility. To follow are 10 keys for living cleanly within this state, and creating consciously. (Note: living by these principals even when one is NOT Amidst Meaningful CoincidenceTM can often usher in an experience of it)

  1. Set an intention for future non-AMCTM times that will remind you of your greater purpose.
  2. Example: If I were to forget what is important, may an outrageous and undeniable sign appear to me that reminds me of what my life is really all about.

  3. Set an intention that will automatically re-align your thinking with higher principals.
  4. Example: May my brain be re-wired to consistently think in accordance with Divine Will.

  5. Creatively contemplate something that will necessarily improve the quality of life for at least 100,000 people.

  6. Send lots of "thinking of you" letters, emails, and gifts to anyone who comes to mind.
  7. In AMC, those fleeting thoughts to mail a particular quote, or book, or spontaneous remembrance are often invaluable for the recipient. Do not hold back for embarrassment. Be generous with apologies as well…

  8. Ask yourself questions, whose answers would necessarily be positive or expansive.
  9. Example: What would next week be like if I felt radiantly healthy? Or What song would a completely healed terrorist sing to bring peace to his nation?

  10. Or, ask yourself nothing at all.
  11. Choosing instead to proclaim! as you bask in the sheer gratitude of your everyday experience.

  12. Ground yourself DAILY with physical activity, or those things that support your practical,  physical nature.
  13. This is crucial. Without daily grounding the energy that will be flowing through you might leave you feeling fried. Garden, go fishing, work out, chop vegetables, fix your car, change a diaper, serve some soup… just a few things you could do. You know what grounds you, just be sure to DO IT!

  14. Put yourself into new environments, and expose yourself to new ideas.
  15. Because AMCTM is an extraordinary time to develop discernment, as well as to expand your world exponentially.

  16. Write down or physically express what you are learning to completely claim it.

  17. ... as you share your thoughts with a good dose of humility and humor too.

The term AMCTM  is trademarked for the sake of making a living, but actually living AMC is available to all of us freely!
